Incorporating LGBTQ-inclusive policies into the organization can be an effective way to reinforce a sense of belonging in employees. Some employees worry that their LGBTQ identity will alienate coworkers or make them feel uncomfortable. Research indicates that 46% of LGBTQ employees hide their real identities at work. With the ever-changing laws, it’s imperative for organizations to be aware of current employment laws and to ensure that company policies are constantly evolving to accommodating the law.
