With most pride events again cancelled in 2021 the organisers of Glasgow's Pride March are delighted to join Birmingham as the only two major cities in the UK holding Pride Marches. In 2019 almost 10,000 marchers took part in a march from Kelvingrove Park to George Square and in 2020 as part of a response to the pandemic Glasgow’s Pride joined with other groups for a special online Global Pride - which had 57 million viewers worldwide. Organisers of the march are asking supporting businesses in Glasgow to fly the Pride Flag next weekend to show support for LGBT+ staff and customers. The LGBT+ communities of Glasgow are joining together for a Pride March on Saturday (September 4) which will start from Festival Park in Cessnock and finish up at George Square.
